Gavin Ray
Cisco's Head of NSM Deployment and Partnerships for EMEA

Gavin Ray has spent the last four years working at Cisco Systems, where he is currently responsible for network management and OSS solutions in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions (EMEA).

Mr Ray¹s current specialization is in the development of large-scale distributed OSS frameworks, and the standardization of application development within a plug-and-play software environment. This work brings him into contact with a wide range of both new and established industry software vendors and leads to many collaborative projects that are advancing the "New World Internet" OSS.

Prior to Cisco, Mr. Ray worked with Fujitsu Telecom in SDH and ATM solutions development. He also spent a number of years at AT&T, working on the planning and design of European data networks, with a special focus on capacity planning algorithms and data management. Gavin Ray graduated in the UK with Bachelors Degree in Communication Engineering in 1987 and a PhD in Network Optimization and Analysis in 1992.
