Paul Roossin

Paul joined Tribeca Software from ConsumerSearch, Inc., a successful Internet start-up which provides consumer shopping advice, where he served as their CIO. Prior to this, he was a researcher at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center, working in the Human Language Technologies Laboratory. Paul prototyped and was the technical lead on the world's first commercial large vocabulary, continuous speech recognizer. He also was a member of the team which created the state-of-the-art machine translation system, which translates French texts into English with high accuracy. Trained as a neurobiologist, Paul's broad knowledge base and accomplishments led him to be featured as one of the 100 smartest individuals in the greater New York City area in a 1995 New York Magazine cover story.
